10+ Farms for Fruit Picking near Dallas / Fort Worth [2026]

Harvest season is upon us, and the time is ripe for fruit picking! We have such fun gathering up fresh, locally grown strawberries and snacking on them all week long. It only makes sense to keep a running list of all the local you-pick-it farms across Dallas Fort Worth so we can try to visit them all! So, without further ado, here are 10+ fantastic options for supporting small, local businesses while you have your own fruit picking adventure in North Texas.

1. Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm

PILOT POINT, TX – We might as well start off with our own personal adventure to Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm. This farm opens around mid April and stays open as long as the picking is good, which is typically the end of May. They offer strawberry picking, hanging strawberry baskets, strawberry ice cream, and strawberry jam.

The 2026 strawberry harvest season at Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm starts early this year, gates opening March 14th! I’ve shared my own personal experience plus tips and tricks for having your best strawberry picking adventure at Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm in this other post.

2. Demases Farm

BOYD, TX – Demases Farm is a one stop shop for fresh produce in North Texas. Their produce stand is open 9AM – 3PM most days and offers all sorts of fresh fruits and veggies: zuchinni, squash, kohlrabi, potatoes, onions, spinach, lettuces, cheese, eggs, preserves, just to name a few. Strawberry picking is offered on select days during April and May. Days and hours will be announced on their Facebook and Instagram pages. On some Saturdays, you may even find additional vendors setup on the farm to help with all your fresh food needs.

The 2026 Strawberry season at Demases Farm has been announced for April – May, but no opening date has been announced yet. Check their social media pages for more info.

3. Alford Family Farm

EMORY, TX – The Alford Family Farm offers a country store with jellies, jams, honey and fresh produce along with strawberry picking, blueberry picking, blackberry picking, and even Muscadine Grapes picking in August. The fruit picking days for the Alford Family Farm seem to vary from week to week. The best way to find up-to-date picking information is to follow their page on facebook.

Strawberry picking for the 2026 season at Alford Family Farm has been tentatively announced for March 21st. Picking season for blackberries and blueberries should be starting in early June – July. Always check their Facebook page for the most up to date information.

4. Pure Land Farm

MCKINNEY, TX – Pure Land Farm offers “U Pick It” produce for carrots, beets, radishes, onions, garlic, cucumbers, blackberries, bell peppers, hot peppers, summer squash, cherry tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, muskmelons, and sunflowers. Their fruit picking variety is obviously vast and the picking goes strong from May through July. Admission is $5 per person on the farm, and you have to reserve a picking spot in advance via their website. Season passes are also available, but you’ll have to snag them fast. They are already sold out for 2023.

The picking season for 2026 has been tentatively announced starting mid-May, but no specific date has been mentioned yet. Picking typically includes carrots, onions, garlic, beets, and peppers. Blackberry season is still to be announced.

5. Blackland Berry Farm

ROYSE CITY, TX – Blackland Berry Farm offers delicious blueberry and blackberry picking. Berries are priced per gallon and reservations are required to be made via facebook messenger. While you are there, check out their own speciality, homemade shaved ice.

Berry picking season at Blackland Berry Farm typically lasts from end of May through mid-July. The picking season for 2026 has not yet been announced, but you can keep an eye on their social media pages for an update.

6. Ham Orchards

TERRELL, TX – Ham Orchards features a Farm Market Store with a variety of produce (apricots, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, cherries, plums, strawberries, watermelon, beans, corn, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, squash, tomatoes and zucchini), jarred products, homemade fudge, ice cream, BBQ, and more. Ham Orchards also offers a U-PICK blackberry patch for all your blackberry picking needs. Please note, while you can find fresh peaches at Ham Orchards, the peaches are pre-picked for you. Peach season starts mid May though official dates for 2024 haven’t yet been announced.

The Orchards are scheduled to open on May 9th for the 2026 picking season. Keep checking their facebook page for details as that date gets closer!

7. Blueberry Hill Farms

EDOM, TX – Blueberry Hill Farms offers blueberry picking and blackberry picking. They also have a country store with preservers and a bakery featuring all sorts of delicious blueberry themed creations like pies, muffins, yogurt, and more. It’s also a great place to purchase blueberry bushes for your own garden!

Blueberry picking season at Blueberry Hill Farms typically runs from late May through June and some of July. The picking season for 2026 is predicted to start Memorial Day weekend. Prior to fully opening, they frequently release dates to purchase their blueberry plants. Check out their facebook page or website for updates.

8. Blase Family Farm

ROCKWALL, TX – Blase Family Farm offers pick-your-own blueberries in the summer and a pumpkin patch in October. They also have homemade popsicles, fudge, blueberry jam, lemon blueberry bread, and handmade soap. Visit their picnic area to enjoy your freshly baked goods before you hop in the car to take your blueberries home. You can even purchase your own blueberry plant! The Blase Family Farm requests that you sign up for a reservation, but they may offer walk-ins due to this year’s bummer crop.

Blueberry season at Blase Family Farm typically starts in late May and runs through early July. Exact dates have not yet been announced for 2026, but you can keep updated by visiting their website and/or social media channels.

9. Highway 19 Produce and Berries

ATHENS, TX – Highway 19 Produce and Berries offers several different pick-your-own vanities including strawberries and blackberries. They also offer fresh broccoli, onions, potatoes, mustard greens, salsas, jams, and more! Picking times appear to be first come first served and the gate will be closed once picking is done for the day.

Strawberry season at Highway 19 Produce and Berries has not yet been announced but they have been teasing that the picking seasons will start soon for 2026. Watch their facebook page for updates on availability, other crops, and estimated picking dates for blackberries (which typically starts late May).

11. Goober Bub’s

JUSTIN, TX – Goober Bub’s offers pick-your-own strawberries and freshly baked goods. Their bakery is typically open on the weekends, but the farm opens up for strawberry picking both on weekdays and weekends. While Goober Bub’s does not adhere to a specific schedule, they do announce a picking schedule on social media each week. They have also started accepting pre-orders for their bakery which offers strawberry donuts, strawberry jam, and more!

The strawberry picking season at Goober Bub’s started on March 14th. Check out their facebook page or website for specifics on which days they are open and updates on availability. 12. Peachy Peel Farm

SCURRY, TX – If you love fresh produce and picking your own berries, Peachy Peel Farm in Scurry, Texas might be a good fit for you! Peachy Peel Farm offers a variety of farm-picked fruits including peaches and plums. It’s their blackberries, though, that are available for you to come harvest (or purchase pre-picked). They also offer a variety of fresh, farm-grown veggies!

The picking season at Peachy Peel Farm has not yet been announced. Check out their facebook page or website for specifics on when their peaches, plums, and blackberries will be available for the 2026 season.

13. Sunset Trail Farm

MCKINNEY, TX – Sunset Trail Farm is a family owned blackberry farm located in McKinney offering you-pick-it thornless blackberries, seasonal veggies, and wildflower bouquets. Sunset Trail Farm hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Farm tours, picking adventures, and more are all available via appointment only. They even sell their thornless variety of blackberry bushes if you bring some of that farm life home with you.

Strawberry season at Sunset Trail Farm has not yet been announced but is predicted to start in May. Watch their facebook page and website for updates and estimates for blackberry picking dates.
