The Princeton Onion Festival is a craft & vendor Fair hosted by the Princeton Lions Club with more than 100 vendors and food trucks. You’ll find unique goods, local favorites, and plenty to enjoy.
The Princeton Onion Festival celebrates our hometown history, community spirit, and the agricultural roots that shaped our city. In the early 1900s, Princeton shipped more than 175 train-carloads of onions, earning the title of “Onion Capital of Texas.” Today, we keep that legacy alive through a day of fun, family, and giving back.
The Princeton Onion Festival is more than a celebration; it’s an investment in our community. Proceeds from the festival support the Princeton Lions Club programs and initiatives that directly benefit Princeton ISD students, including vision care for Princeton ISD students, scholarships for graduating seniors, and assistance for families through the Princeton Gives program.
Our vendor application opens up March 1, 2027. Email me and I'll send you a reminder email a few days ahead of time. This is a long-standing community-wide event that brings crowds all day due to the various activities like a 5k/fun run, all 2nd graders have a performance, there's various tournaments, and a live auction.
