City Manager Jason Little shared his thoughts on the upcoming event: “This marks our third annual Melissa Road Tribute Festival\, and it’s a special occasion for our community. We’re proud to have made this an annual tradition that our residents look forward to each year.” \nHe added\, “It’s called the Melissa Road Tribute Fest for a reason—our lineup of tribute bands is top-notch and promises to deliver a fun\, memorable experience for everyone.” \nTribute bands are a category of entertainers that honor and pay tribute to admired\, successful\, and venerated musical acts by playing their music and mimicking their style and stage presence. For the 2025 Melissa Road Tribute Fest\, three well-known tribute bands will provide the entertainment. \nDuring the Melissa Road Tribute Fest\, food truck operators will offer food for purchase. New this year\, Wacky Chad will provide fun and exciting entertainment for children. The festival will also feature a variety of merchandise vendors. \nCity Manager Jason Little praised the staff’s dedication and hard work in organizing the upcoming music festival. “Our team has put in countless hours to ensure this event is a success\,” said Little. “Their commitment and passion are what make this festival possible\, and we are grateful for their unwavering effort. This event is a testament to their hard work\, and we look forward to seeing the community come together and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Our goal is to create an exceptional experience for everyone\, learn from each festival\, and continually improve to make each year better than the last.” \nThe Melissa Road Tribute Fest marks the start of community gatherings planned by the City of Melissa. Admission is free. \nFormerly known as World of Foodies\, the event has been expanded to include a richer cultural experience with more mouthwatering delights\, live entertainment\, and a broader celebration of global traditions \nCarrollton Culture Fest invites guests to explore global flavors with a large selection of food and drink vendors representing countries from around the world including France\, Germany\, India\, Italy\, Japan\, Mexico\, and more. \nNew this year is Bevvy Blvd\, an international drink garden coordinated by Downtown Carrollton’s own 3 Nations Brewing Co.\, offering a curated selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from across the globe. Some of the featured drinks will include a French 75\, Frozen Margarita\, Italian Pilsner\, Italian Red Wine\, and 3 Nations Brewing Co.’s TEXIAN Mexican-Style Lager. Whether a person is in the mood for a savory street food snack or a unique international refreshment\, there’s something for every palate. \nThe celebration continues on stage with high-energy cultural performances throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy the Drums of Tahiti – Polynesian Revue at 3:30 p.m.\, SDK Bhangra at 5 p.m.\, Rising Phoenix Lion Dragons at 6:30 p.m.\, and UDA Samba at 7:30 p.m. After each performance\, the groups will stick around to take photos with attendees and teach some fun dance moves\, making it an interactive and immersive experience for all ages.
